ok. ill start. so far in this book, a girl is teleported i think or warped, timetravelled, i don't know what, to when the Nazis were putting jews in concentration camps. the girl in this story tries to warn everyone about the nazis,but they don't believe her. i predict that the girl will be able to escape from the camp and return to her own time.

i am going to summarize what happened so far in the book. here's what happened, the main character in this book has to go to a family Jewish celebration. at the celebration, she has to open the door for the prophet Elijah. but when she opens the door, she travels back in time to a village in Israel i think. there she meets the villagers and someone who claims to be her aunt. one day at the village, a couple gets married. then during the wedding, the Nazis come and take the whole village to a concentration camp. at the concentration camp, the nazis shave their heads, give them numbers, and take away their things. at the camp, the main character meets a girl and they become friends. the girl help her to get shoes and a good job. that is what happened so far.

I think that the devil's arithmatic is a really good book. at the beginning I wasn't to happy to to hbe reading this book at the beginning of the book hannah seemed like a spoiled girl that didn't care of her cultural past or about her family's past. But after beign sent back in time to world war 2 and put in a consentration camp hannah began to understand and care for her cultural past and felt her ancestors suffering and pain herself. I would highly recommend this book to someone that is jewish and want's to learn of he or she's ancestor's past or someone interested in www 2.

I think that the Devil's Arithmatic was a okay book. In the beginning i couldn't get into the book. After a while i like reading it. I thought Hannah was too spoiled. When she opened the door i think she went back to poland wedding i think. then when after she experience the pain her family been in the aushwitz i guess. Now she think it is good to remember the past. It was a horrible memory but she gotta remember it.
